Collecting Personal Information
When candidates enter information on our site, they may be asked for personal information. The personal information that may be requested is as follows: name, phone number, e-mail address, job title, department, address, city, province, country. Some of these fields are identified as optional. This information helps us improve the quality of our services, and it allows us to provide a more personalized training. However, should you choose not to include it, you will have access to the same information and services. Prolang – a division of Academie Linguistique Internationale – will not sell, distribute, or divulge any collected information to any third party.
Use of Cookies
The Prolang website makes use of cookies, which automatically collect anonymous user data. A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that is transferred from a website to the hard drive of your computer, allowing the site administrator to identify your computer and passively track its activities on the website.
Prolang may use cookies to temporarily store some personal information, such as passwords, so that the client doesn’t have to re-enter it each time they visit the Prolang site. Cookies cannot be used to disclose your individual identity. The personal information that is saved identifies the browser, but not the user, to Prolang servers when the client visits the Prolang site. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but it is possible to set browsers to refuse cookies. However, if cookies are not accepted, there may be limited access to some areas of the Prolang site.
Access to Information and Confidentiality
Prolang does not provide the candidate’s scores or personal information to outside parties. Only Prolang has access to the information entered by the candidate, except when requested by the company. In which case, a personalized access protected by a username and a password will be created for the use of the company. The testing site for each company is password protected to allow their designated employees access to the results and scores of their candidates. The testing site is accessible at all times through the link, username, and password provided by Prolang.
Upon completion of the test, the results of the candidate will be available through the testing site and accessible on the designated company space. The score results and personal information of the candidate are accessible on the testing site that is solely dedicated to the company. The results can be accessed through the testing site or by contacting Prolang by phone or e-mail.
Candidates have the right to request the information that Prolang has collected and stored about them. If the information contains errors, a request can be sent to ProLang to make the necessary modifications. Only Prolang administrators may edit the information of candidates once it has been submitted.

We protect the security of your information during transmission by using industry grade Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input as well as the information that is sent out.
